Data Center IT Operations Engineer/Technician

About the role

We are seeking a talented IT Operations Engineer/Technician to join our dynamic team at Banyano Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Rayong. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our company's IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Three years experiences working in a data center environment with hands-on exposure to daily operations and maintenance activities. Candidates should be familiar with server rooms, IT equipment, and data center facilities.
• Familiar with data center IT operation and maintenance standards and processes, including routine workflows such as equipment inspection, incident handling, and operational documentation.
• Familiar with Linux system operations, especially hardware-related command-line tasks. Should understand basic system checks and be able to support troubleshooting related to hardware behavior and system-level operations. Familiarity with server hardware and common consumables such as cables, disks, memory modules, and other replaceable components is required.
• Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with different teams while maintaining structured and logical thinking during both routine operations and emergency situations.
• Able to respond quickly to unexpected incidents such as hardware failures or service interruptions. Capable of performing first-level troubleshooting independently and supporting on-site maintenance activities to ensure timely restoration or escalation when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily on-site data center operation and maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections, routine monitoring, and handling operational events according to established procedures.
• Support server hardware-related activities such as equipment installation, racking, cable connections, component replacement, and consumables management.
• Perform Linux-based operational tasks focused on hardware-related activities, including basic system checks, troubleshooting, log reviews, and assisting senior engineers with deeper system-level interventions.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of on-site activities, maintenance work, and emergency operations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, perform initial troubleshooting, stabilize situations, and escalate issues appropriately to maintain continuous and reliable data center operations.
• Prepare operational records, shift handover notes, and task completion logs to maintain operational accuracy and traceability.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, to support continuous data center operations.
